However I would feel really bad if I missed this opportunity to say that this bug makes the game literally unplayable lol I appreciate you all looking into it and am happy to answer any questions or try to help. I have no mods active or subscribed, and all DLC. After clicking "Done" to enter the game, the loading bar fills to ~90%, the text on the bar says "Preparing Game", and it never moves beyond that stage. On two occasions out of ~16 this hasn't occurred, and I have been able to get through to empire selection and creation, where I proceeded to make a new custom Humanoid empire and configure Galaxy setup.

When I am in Stellaris's Main Menu and click "New Game", the game freezes and will not do anything even if left for a significant period of time. Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible. Clicking "New Game" causes the game to freeze
